  • My Scar

September 9, 2010 would be the last time I would speak to my best friend/sister. She passed away at the age of 29 leaving behind 2 daughters and a husband. Shortly after Julie passing away, I noticed I was having chest pain, shortness of breath, dizziness etc. I went to the Dr, thinking it was anxiety, and found out it was a lot more. They did a stress test, Eco, and other test and found out that I have a rare heart disease called Brugada Syndrome. My Dr. looked me in the face and asked me point blank if I wanted to live past 28 years old. The next day I was in the hospital having an ICD placed. To this day I'm still skeptical about it, but after reading a lot of posts on here, it is making me feel better about my decision.
