Autopsy: Delta Passenger Had Heart Abnormality
Michaele Carnahan's Body Was Found In Plane's Bathroom

ATLANTA -- An autopsy shows the 61-year-old woman whose body was found in the restroom of a Delta Air Lines plane died from a heart abnormality.

Georgia Bureau of Investigation Deputy Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Jacqueline Martin said Thursday that was the finding of an autopsy conducted on the body of Michaele O'Neil Carnahan of Ventura, Calif.

Georgia's Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Kris Sperry said a pre-existing heart condition is responsible for the woman's sudden, natural death. He said Carnahan was undergoing evaluation by her personal physician for suspected heart problems.

The specific nature of the heart disease will be disclosed later following further examination of her heart.

Her body was found in the restroom shortly before the flight from Los Angeles to Atlanta landed Wednesday morning.
