Sister Sarah, the church gossip and self-appointed keeper of the church's morals, kept sticking her nose into other people's business. Numerous members were unappreciative, but feared her enough to maintain their silence.
However, Sarah made a judgment error when she accused George, a new member, of being a drunken sot after she saw his pickup truck parked in front of the town's only tavern in the middle of the afternoon. She commented to George, and others, that everyone seeing it there would know that he was a drunk, and it reflected badly upon the church.
George, a man of few words, stared at her for a few moments and just walked away without responding. Later that evening, George quietly parked his pickup in front of Sarah's house.....
