I am new at this. I was diagnosed in february of this year. I went thru years of symptoms only to be dismissed. I was to young and it was more than likely anxiety. I even went to the hostpital with horrible chest pain and my cardiac enzymes were very high and my ekg was abnormal. even then I was ignored. I was working off and on when I could. I started working with developmental disabled adults in 2000. I started having symptoms shortly after. I loved my job but was unable to do it. The doctors have told me I can no longer work in that field. The only thing I can be capable of is a low stress desk job. I have applied for various jobs and I was told I was a liability. Im currently appealing my ssi disability denial. I am so frustrated. I am 35 years old and a single mother of three. I recently sold my house and moved back in with mom. Please help me!

Re: what kinda jobs are out there for hcmers?
Angela, I see you've posted several times today. I hope you were able to talk with Lisa. If you haven't yet called her, please do so soon. You seem to be having a very rough time of it. You can't help but be overwelmed with all you have going on, and trying so hard to be the perfect Mom too. I'm glad your mother is there for you. Talk with Lisa, get some ideas about how to manage your health in the best way for you. Read thru the whole HCMA web site, learn as much as you can about your condition. When you have a bit better medical control and start to feel better, you'll be much more able to cope with all the other difficulties. I do hope things start coming together for you very soon. Please keep us posted. Linda
