    Re: beta blockers and exercise

Beta blockers are a daily medicine. They are not supposed to be used on an as-needed basis. Please talk to your doctor.

The question to me is what kind of excerise are you doing and has it been cleared by a cardiologist?

          Re: beta blockers and exercise

Ilan, I think that you should probably stick to your regular time for medicine. That keeps the level in your body the same. Again, please talk to your doctor about how much activity he would like to see you have. I think 20 minutes of regular walking, without trying to hurry, should be all right if you can tolerate it well. The doctor is the exert, though. Ask him.

I take mine prior to exercise, not as a rule but out of habit. I exercise in the morning, so I take my med's when I get up, then jump on the bike about 10 minutes later
