During my 3rd week of recovery from the myectomy I developed fluid on my lung and had to have it drained. What an experience. I would almost rather go through the surgery again than have a liter of fluid drained. They said there was nothing I could have done differently to avoid this happening as it's a 50% chance with heart surgery of this occurring. And there is a 50% chance of it reoccuring! Lucky me. Anyway that was the reason for the acute shortness of breath.
I haven't been on since this last incident and I was wondering if anyone has heard from Doug since his surgery?
