I just wanted to let you all know that each of you are in my thoughts and prayers everyday - as are the thousands of people living with undiagnosed HCM.
I know many of you keep the same thoughts close to your "big" hearts everyday - but I figured I would say it!

Dx age 12 current age 46 and counting!
lost: 5 family members to HCM (SCD, Stroke, CHF)
Others diagnosed living with HCM (or gene +) include - daughter, niece, nephew, cousin, sister and many many friends!
Therapy - ICD (implanted 97, 01, 04 and 11, medication
Currently not obstructed
Complications - unnecessary pacemaker and stroke (unrelated to each other)

You're right! You have put into words what we feel in our hearts. It is sometimes hard to put feelings into words, you seem to have no problem. Thank you for speaking on behalf of us.

This is my first post and I may not do it right. But, I am thankful to God for Lisa and her staff who give of themselves unstintingly. As I get to know people here and if God brings you across my mind, I will pray for you. Not an elaborate prayer, but just to remind the creator of your needs for healing and daily living.

Your first post is just fine. Meggy, like you, none of us asked to have HCM and many of us had never heard of HCM until we were diagnosed with it. You are correct, we all are very thankful for Lisa and her vision to start this association.

As a priesthood holder in my faith as a member of , " The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints", I get encouragement. I know that our heavenly father wants what is best for us, I also know that many of us are being tested in more ways than one. And it's that stead fastness as brother and sisters that we need to remain faithful.
