    Hi everyone,

    I am sending this request for special prayers for our newest member - he is 6 days old. His Dad just called - a first time dad - and told me that the baby was diagnosed shortly after birth due to a murmur.

    I have known dad for several years - and he is doing GREAT with his HCM. This was a big shock for him and his wife. The baby is doing very well.

    Please send your good wishes to Wyatt - the new little man in town!

    God watch over our newest ...keep him safe and let his mommy and daddy know there is a great deal of love and support for them here!

    Dx age 12 current age 46 and counting!
    lost: 5 family members to HCM (SCD, Stroke, CHF)
    Others diagnosed living with HCM (or gene +) include - daughter, niece, nephew, cousin, sister and many many friends!
    Therapy - ICD (implanted 97, 01, 04 and 11, medication
    Currently not obstructed
    Complications - unnecessary pacemaker and stroke (unrelated to each other)

    Husband has HCM.
    3 kids - ages 23, 21, & 19. All presently clear of HCM.

        It's not what you gather, but what you scatter that tells what kind of life you have lived.

        Dx in Feb/99. Obstructed. No ICD, no surgeries, no family history. 2 sons ages 14 and 6.
