  • A little help here please

    A member of our Board of Directors Lee Tilson - has a 7 yr old son Andy who has come down with bacterial meningitis.. he is currently on the up swing... please keep him in your thought and prayers!
    He is on a vent. but will likely come off later today.

    Lee...We are all thing of you and your family!

    Dx age 12 current age 46 and counting!
    lost: 5 family members to HCM (SCD, Stroke, CHF)
    Others diagnosed living with HCM (or gene +) include - daughter, niece, nephew, cousin, sister and many many friends!
    Therapy - ICD (implanted 97, 01, 04 and 11, medication
    Currently not obstructed
    Complications - unnecessary pacemaker and stroke (unrelated to each other)

    I pray that Andy has a quick and uneventful recovery from his illness. May he get stronger every day.

    Husband has HCM.
    3 kids - ages 23, 21, & 19. All presently clear of HCM.

      Dx at 2 days old with Biventricular hypertrophy
      Dx at 6 weeks with HOCM
      Dx at 5 months with V-tach
      Dx at 3 with Noonan Syndrome

            Thank you all... things are looking brighter.... keep up the prayers and happy thoughts... This little guy has really been through a difficult time... it looks like he is a fighter like his dad!

              Please tell Lee, Andy and their family that prayers are coming their way from Northern Jersey this morning. And, as soon as I finish posting this.........i'll email my family & then more prayers will be coming from many different directions in Jersey!!!

                Thanks Karen...as you can tell by postings in the last 48 hours it has been an odd time here. I am off to ACC later today, the NIH program has fallen apart and many people are going to need our help finding new care and my dear friend is fighting for his sons life!
                The last of which being the most important of all!
                All thoughts are very welcome.... and I thanks you for keeping Andy in your thoughts and prayers...send HAPPY THOUGHTS!
