  • Prayers for me too, please

Hi. As most of you know, I don't have HCM but do have other heart issues. I'm scheduled for an echo and stress test on Fri, Feb. 21. Then they will do an EP study on me to determine the cause of my PSVT. If they find what they're looking for they will use radio frequency ablation to burn out the extra pathway. I'm nervous, as you all understand. Please keep me in your prayers.

    Reenie

PS: You should've seen my doc's eyes when I told him about the time my heart rate was way over the top - 350-400 bpm. He thought I was lying. Nope, just lucky. Plus I was a kid and could tolerate it more then. Boy, what a day that was!

Just a quick update. My stress test and echo will still be Friday, but they have rescheduled the EP study for March 18. Thanks for the positive thoughts and prayers.

Reenie, I hope this schedule change hasn't thrown you too much. It's hard to get primed and then shift courses. I was thinking about you last nite, hoping it would be a very quick, efficient procedure for you. Hang in there. Good luck with the other testing. Linda

                        will be with you

I had an ep study done to see if the could ablate the V.T.(COULD NOT) but I remember before going in for the study having this feeling that all the people who were praying for me were with me. It was a very calming feeling, may you feel the same -our prayers are with you.

Hi. The stress test and echo went fine today. They were not able to produce any arrhythmias with the stress test, but I did 8 minutes and measured at 12.5 mets. (Anybody care to tell me what that means in English?) The echo confirmed MVP and regurgitation, although the regurg is mild. I am still scheduled for the EP study on Mar. 18. Thank you all for thinking of me.
