    I wish you enough......

    To all of my new friends at HCMA...
    I just changed the signature section of my email postings to say "I wish you enough..." This saying comes from a popular story about a family who passed down that wish to every generation. The whole wish is printed below; everytime you see "I wish you enough..." think of the following:
    I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright.
    I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun more.
    I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive.
    I wish you enough pain so that the smallest joys in life appear much bigger.
    I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting.
    I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess.
    I wish you enough "hello's" to get you through the final "good-bye's."

    All of our lives are filled with ups and downs..this wish helps us keep the downs in perspective. Thanks to Lisa for getting me over the shock and denial of my disease and getting me started on the road to enjoying life again!

      YOU can make a difference - all you have to do is try!

      Dx age 12 current age 46 and counting!
      lost: 5 family members to HCM (SCD, Stroke, CHF)
      Others diagnosed living with HCM (or gene +) include - daughter, niece, nephew, cousin, sister and many many friends!
      Therapy - ICD (implanted 97, 01, 04 and 11, medication
      Currently not obstructed
      Complications - unnecessary pacemaker and stroke (unrelated to each other)

        Thanks Jim for those wise words! Somehow it is in the balance of life that we find the greatest satisfaction. But that is a truth that is easy to lose in the ups and downs of life.
