  • HCMA Screening Tool for SCA

This week I met with the Director of Academics (known as a principle in my school days) and discussed the Screening Tool for SCA created by the HCHA. If you are not familiar with the tool, you can find a link to it on the home page. We discussed planning for a cardiac emergency (Dr. Drill) and also screening students. She jumped right on board with this. This school is a brand new charter school which will open it's doors for the first time on 8/22/11.

Have you considered meeting with your school's administrative team or school nurse to present what the HCMA offers to benefit their students and teachers? Might I ask that you consider approaching them to help plan for a cardiac emergency and possibly save a life? Wouldn't it be nice to eliminate the "Sudden Death" threads from our message board? It really doesn't take much time at all and you (yes you) can help get the word out !!!
