Is there any correlation between heart burn and/or acid reflux with HCM?

Hi - Since I began having symptoms from HCM I have a tendency to have"heart burn" when I go to bed. I don't have it at any other time - just when I lie down. My remedy is to avoid a heavy meal after about 5 or at the latest 6 P.M. and especially avoid any hard to digest foods such as pie. If I get hungry in the evening, which I often do, I'll eat a piece of raw fruit and chew it well and /or a cup of mild herb tea. Then - voila! no heart burn at all.

I have acid reflux and take the purple pill. No idea if it's related to HCM. Stress seems to trigger mine. I've lost weight and it's improved also.
