[need some info sarah and lisa]

    Author: Susan Tyrrell (---.users.brazoria.net)

Hi. I had emailed you several weeks ago in regards to some questions. But my

time line is getting closer for my next appt. with the electrophysiolgist(sorry if spelled wrong). What I am needing to know is when I go for my next appt. I want my ICD turned OFF. I know what you may be thinking, but I didn't even have 3 or more risk factors when he put it in.So basically I need to know if I ask and if have to demand for him to turn it off, is that my legal right and does he have to comply.

I don't want to go into all the details of WHY I want this done, just need to know

    what I can do PLEASE!!!!!!

    Thank you very much.

    Sincerely, Susan Tyrrell

    Dear Susan,

You only need 2 or more risk factors. I would advise you keep your ICD turned on . Feel free to e-mail me for more private communication.

    Sincerely, Dr. Robert Pensack

Dr. Pensack ... I received an email from you but the body of the email did not contain a message! (It only consisted of my message.) I hope to hear from you again soon! Best regards, Erica Beth Stolzenberg

    Dear Susan

I'm sure you have thought this through, but I just want to point out that at the Summit earlier this month, there were some doctors who felt that some risk factors are big enought that even if you had just one --if it were the "right" one, that would be enough.

Regardless of what happends, I hope you are seeing an HCM specialist and that you get the best care.

    good luck

    Sarah

    sarah --

could you elaborate in a private e-mail to me what you mean by the

"right" one if you get a chance?

    not urgent.

    thanks.

    Dear Beth,

You got it. This topic has been covered in several previous threads, so anyone can go back through the board and read old ICD posts.
