    [Seeing a specialist.....]

I made an appt. with the HCM Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN today.......The appt is scheduled for the 4th and 5th of Nov. They did have an appt open on Thurs this week, but living in NM, I didn't think I could make it quite that quickly......Anyway, I am relieved to actually have an appt. and look forward to the expertiese....Has anyone seen or heard of Dr. Freeman? That's who I'm scheduled to see on the 5th.

Another good note.....I have felt soooo much better today. I have taken my pulse a few times and it seems to be a normal 60 bpm....Much better than the low 100's I've been experiencing and the irradic HB........

What a wonderful day! I had my tilt table test today and it came back negative. I am not sure if that is good or bad or what. But I was talking to one of my friends at work in Florida and came to find out his parents live in Boston. I was asking him about tips to get around and things like that and he said let me call my parents and see if they can pick you up at the airport to make this a little less stressful. I said that that would be great and was amazed by his offering. Tonight he left me a message and his family are going to take me in for that night and take me to the HCM clininc. Comes to find out his grandmother has an appointment at the New England Medical center that day! How ironic and generous of his family. As a struggling college student this is making all the difference for me right now.

I guess things are done for a reason and this has taken alot of stress off of me and I just can't imagine doing this without the help of my friends!

    Dear Mary,

Negative is good in medical-ese. It means nothing happened out of the ordinary.

I'm so happy that you are "hooked up" in Boston for the trip!!! That is so great and will be so nice when you don't know anyone. It sounds like everything is happening for a reason.

Be sure to let us know how it goes and I know Lisa and I will rest easier knowing you aren't there all alone.

    take care,

    Sarah
