    Hello to everyone

    I am new to all of this...what is ICD? I am waiting

    for my doctor's appt. and another echo and am

    trying to get my facts straight. Thanks to all

    I enjoy this board and am learning alot.

    Arlene,

    ICD is implanted cardiodefibrillator. It's like the defibrillators they use in ER's, but implanted in your chest. Not everyone gets an ICD, only under special circumstances. Your doctor will be able to tell you more. Let us know if there is anything else we can help you with.
