hi, me again , our 8 year son had a echo done two weeks ago, the dr called today and said that it didn,t look like his septal wall was thick, but i did look like there could be a problem with one of the valves. we are going in to talk to them further. could this be a indication of a problem with hcm later as he grows?

    Dear Robin,

As you ask the question, I would say no. Valves are usually only implicated in HCM when there is obstruction or perhaps much later down the line if the heart gets out of shape. This early in the game, it could be unrelated.

Lisa, can you weigh in on this?
