[what "metabolic disorders" contribute?]

Could someone tell me what "metabolic disorders" are that can contribute/ look like HCM? I cant find any info on that. Thanks

It is not that metabolic diseases contribute to HCM, but that something else besides HCM caused the heart damage or arrythmias in the first place.
I am sorry that I don't know more about what other diseases cause enlarged hearts (HCM is not technically an enlarged heart, but a heart with thick walls). I only know that HCM is very rare in such small babies, but is possible. However, other causes should be looked into if at all possible.
I know that this is incredibly frustrating to not know what happened and I'm truly sorry I can't give you more insight. However, Lisa (our president) may have more info and she is at 973-983-7429.

There are several and you should discuss this with your doctor. - I have a list on my other computer... I will post them tonight...one is called Noonan's syndrome there are several others.
