First contact was made! I am feeling so good right now (emotionally)! Matt was fantastic. It was great to know that life still goes on with HCM. I immediatly felt comfortable talking with him. I finally did not get that "deer in the headlight look" when I was explaining some of my symptoms. HOORAY I'm not crazy! Thanks so much to you guys for making this happen! I hope we can get our other Disney person to join in too. The more the merrier! Magic really does happen Imagine that. I know I am rambling but I have not felt so excited about my condition since I was diagnosed.

Can you imagine how esctatic I would get if we could get the HCMA to come to Disney? Are you reading this Lisa? It could happen if you just believe in a bit of pixie dust and magic!

Matt you are awesome! Thanks so much for stopping by! Your family seems really nice. I hope you liked the House tour. Stop by anytime and keep in touch!

    Mary S.

PIxie dust ...Mary... I know Disney has a "big heart" for those with health problems...do you think you can find the people within Disney that I would need to talk to. NO promises..BUT I am willing to talk to them ... IT would NOT be for the 2003 meeting it would be 2004 at best.

AND I would need volunteers to help get this ready IF it happens..hint hint...

    Mary,

It was great meeting you too! You are a sweetheart and I know your future will be great. You are already soooo educated on HCM. It probably would have helped me a lot when I found out about my HCM (IHSS at the time) to know about it and to meet others with it, but at least I had the support of my family and future ex-wife. But I am an "old-timer" and nobody knew doo-doo about it then (excuse the language). We didn't even know it was genetic. I was a guinee pig in 1983 for my myectomy and fortunately he turned out to be a great sugeon. Well this also shows how one disease can have so many faces.

Yes, I really liked your house tour. You are great at spreading the pixie dust. It would be nice to have other HCMers come to the mouse house too.

Lisa, I get the "hint" too. I'll see what I can find out for the meeting.

    Thank you all. Matt

Oh I am so in on this! Tickets got it covered! I know we can at least get rooms discounted. Lisa give me a call sometimes and see exactly it is that you guys would need! I am defiantly sure there are alot of cast members that would adopt your staff for a week ! Hey were all like family right.

Anyhow today was a good day! School started and I am really excited about the program I'm in. My local cardiologist said he would back me 100% on going to Dr. M.Maron! YIPEEEE!

Lisa this is where I need your help! I need the address of his office and fax number so that my cardiologist can touch base with him. The next part is getting the insurance to agree with him. So I might need your "real life" expertise on getting this done. Especially since my cardiologists referral specialists are not the brightest crayons in the box. I get there today and for the third time they lost the referral from my PCP! I have more stress going to the dr. than living my life! Go figure.

    Lisa,

o.k..I hear your 'hinting' loud and clear! "When you wish upon a star, makes no difference who you are...anything your heart desires can come to you!" Just let me know your heart's desire (pardon the pun!) and I'll do what I can to help!
