I also had a rough day today, both my heart and my job. When I got home tonight and checked the message board, I got a good chuckle out of the "rocks". Thanks!

    Dear All

My purpose in life is to tickle people pink --I especially entertain doctors during my visits. Once, I was on vacation and got a bad cold/cough and my hostess made me see a doctor even though I knew they wouldn't be able to do anything for me (I can't take antibiotics or decongestants) so I ended up discussing HCM and Nelson Mandela with the doctor for about half an hour (apparently he has it or something like it). Had a nice time.

Anyway, long story short, I'm glad to help brighten peoples days, especially here.

Does this mean I ROCK, too? ; )

Thanks, Ada. Great postings and definitely good for a laugh.

But a very serious topic! I couldn't agree more with Sarah. I did have access to my records, which alarmed me to a certain extent even though my physicians sort of brushed everything off. When I finally took the records to an HCM specialist, he said I was a candidate for sudden death (even before he knew my father had died suddenly at an early age) and recommended a defibrillator, which I have just had implanted. It's quite amazing what can be in those records that no one wants to deal with. (Or something....I still don't quite understand the incompetence, or indifference or whatever it was.) The more I think about it, the angrier I get! Go, Sarah, and go, you few and far between rockin' docs!
