I spent a couple hours in the HCMA office last night doing paperwork for the golf outing and taking an inventory of what we have had donated to-date for prizes.

We are still looking for help in a number of areas:

    1. Golfers - if you are coming to the meeting and you are a golfer, stay an extra day and join us on the golf course!!!! But sign up now, before we run out of space.

    2. Small stuff in quantities of 120. We make up little "goodie bags" for all the golfers that they are provided at check in. If you have anything in quantities of 120 that we can add to the goodie bag, please send it in!!
Could be golf items (tees, balls, markers, etc.), could be snacks (stuff that doesn't go bad or melt too easy), fun stuff (for example, decks of cards), could be hats or other types of one size fits all clothing, anything that we can get in quantities of 120. In past years we have anything from golf balls, coffee cups, potato chips, pens, magnets, memo pad cubes, ball markers, tee's, candy bars, rulers, mini-first aid kits, water bottles, key chains, etc.

    3. Raffle items: Any larger prize donations of values of $75 and up. We use these for raffle prizes. The raffle is where we make A LOT of money. The better the prizes the more we pull in. We typically have three seperate raffles:

    - The first one is for all the various gift certificates we get for free golf at other courses.
    - The second is for the various big ticket golf items we have. In the past years we have had full sets of clubs, golf bags, high end drivers and putters, etc.
    - Then we have the "everything" else category. In past years we have had Tickets to Disney World, Ticket's to major sports events, Autographed Basketballs, Footballs, and hockey pucks, DVD player, Camera, Dinners at a high end restruant, Video Collection, hotel stays, etc.

    4. Door Prize Table: We make sure that everyone leaves with a prize. The door prize table is full of a wide range of items, both golf and non golf items. The value of the door prizes range anywhere from $10 up to $70.
So far we have stuff like a wide range of gift certificates to resturants (some chains and other locals), single golf clubs (putters, wedges, etc.), golf umbrella's, bags of coffee, duffle style carry bags, etc, etc., etc......

We are making progress, but we are not there yet. WE STILL NEED YOUR HELP!!!!

    Thanks,
    Lynn
