You know after a triple by-pass and several Echo's nonone in Okla has caught the fact that dad has HCM, We were always told he did not have it, well today being i have the disease they looked for it and didn't have to look very far, the Tech turned to me and said has anyone ever said he had HCM and i said no and she said yes he does and his septum is very thick you know he is 88 this year, they said his EF is less then 40% so i guess it is in the End Stage now and his heart is huge, i will know numbers in a few days and i will let you know, doc did say he has severe heart failure with LV dysfunction, when i have more i will fill everyone in

Many prayers for you and your dad. Hard to believe they missed it until now.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Dx in Feb/99. Obstructed. No ICD, no surgeries, no family history. 2 sons ages 14 and 6.
