  • HCMA Conference 2005

Just want to know... who is going to the conference this year and who isn't? The way Mary and I see it, if we can go despite the fact that we are somewhat impoverished at the moment, then there's no excuse for the rest of you. So who's going and who's not? By the way, does the hotel serve Ramen noodles for those of us who can't afford the salmon? LOL.

I am strongly thinking about going. I have gone so far as to check plane fares from L.A., and have discussed with my husband to see if he will care for my son over the weekend. It would be too expensive and difficult for all of us to come, but I am going to try.

I'm really not sure yet. I will be going to visit family and friends in Pennslvania in May. I'm really looking forward to the trip because I haven't seen my daughter in almost a year.

I'll let you know later what my intentions are.

I’m trying every which way I can, but so far it just looks like a bridge too far. I haven’t given up yet – but then I haven’t won the lottery yet either. (That certainly would make things easier.)

Mary, Jim, I know you guys are going to be there and I sure would like to make it a dynamic trio – but the best I can say now is – We’ll see. There’s also a bunch of other people I think of as friends whom I haven’t met yet. Then of course there’s Lisa and Kelly – so many reasons to go, I really hope I can find a way.

Any rich patrons out there that think it would be a good investment to sponsor me instead of giving it to the HCMA?

Hey Burton, maybe if you start out now on that little scooter of yours you can be here by June 3rd. Does it get decent mileage?

I'm hoping to attend, but a lot depends on how my mom does. I can't justify coming to Jersey if she's sick and could use me there more. I do have the "go ahead" from my husband, though. He's pretty supportive of me when it comes to this. (And he does a good job monitoring 3 kids alone. )

                    Husband has HCM.
                    3 kids - ages 23, 21, & 19. All presently clear of HCM.

I really would like to. There are a lot of if's I have to get thru first...

I really, really want to go this year, but, my daughter is graduating this year. We are going to Mexico for her graduation, and will be gone when the conference is happening.

Hope you all have fun meeting each other, and hope to see you next time.

I'm sure you will have a blast with your daughter in Mexico. How very cool! You can always shoot for next year to attend the meeting, even if that sounds so far off at this point. I hope you take lots of pictures while in Mexico.
