  • 2005 HCMA Annual Charity Golf Outing - June 6, 2005

7th Annual Lori Flanigan Memorial Golf Outing will be held on June 6, 2005 at the Picatinny Arsenal Golf Club, Rockaway, NJ. This is a major fundraiser for the HCMA and we invite all of you to participate, either as a golfer or a sponsor. Also, any donations that can be used as door prizes or raffles are also welcome. Please help support the HCMA.

A pdf copy of the brochure is available on the HCMA home page. Please print it out and share it with anyone you know that might be interested in playing golf, volunteering the day of the golf outing, sponsoring a hole, or donating prizes.

We need the help of all our members to make this a successful event. ANYTHING is a help.

If you work for a company that has marketing merchandise (doesn't have to be golf related), we are more than willing to help market your company. Some things we have received in past years are golf balls, putters, shirts, coffee mugs, first aid kits, pens, golf tee packs, weber grills, inflatable rafts, rechargeable drill sets, etc. Anything and everything goes when it comes to marketing merchandise!! Seems like corporations find some of the most interesting things to put their names on for the purpose of advertising.

If you work for a company that can donate products that they produce or sell that would be great. Examples of things we have gotten in past years include such things as free passes to Disney World, DVD/Video collection of movies, tickets to Busch Garden's, gift cards to department stores and restaurant chains, etc.

Maybe you have an old Christmas or Birthday Gift still in the box that will never get any use? Maybe it would make a great prize at the golf outing?

All donations should be sent directly to the HCMA office. If you have a shipment that will not go through the US mail, please contact Kelly and let her know what you are shipping and she will give you the shipping address.

As in past years, the golf outing's proceeds will be used to sustain the operating budget of the HCMA office. Things like rent, lights, phone, Internet capabilities, computers, all cost money. Without the funds to cover the operating budget, the HCMA can not be here to answer your phone calls and e-mails.

    Hi Lynn,
My mother has already started making afghans for your "raffle" and/or "silent auction" items...or where ever you want to use them for.

Any preferences on color? You know she will put hearts on them, and butterflies. We could have her make a generic one, too.

Good luck on the golf outing. I hope to be on my way to Italy after this year's conference / golf outing.

We would probably do like we did last year with the HCMA related afgans and raffle them off at the meeting. It was a big seller last year.

Gee, if your mom is a workaholic and wants to keep making those afgans see if she can make any with a golf design. That would be a big seller for the golf raffle.

        Not a problem.
I'll have a little birdie whisper the "golf design" in her ear!

She loves helping and now that she is "retired" she seems to have a ton of time on her hands - no pun intended!

          Hey Sharon,
If your mom is like you she probably has something to do every minute of the day.

It’s people like you that make the world go around – thanks from all us hanger’s on.
