I heard on the news this morning that New York state now has a law on the books that requires all schools to have AEDs ,as well as staff trained in their use. They are to be available at ALL school functions. From what I heard, the law was signed this week by Governor Pataki.

I really don't know. But I know that Lisa has been trying for this in our NJ schools for some time, and hearing some really stupid reasons why it has not been done. Another fine example of your tax dollars at work.

Actually that is 2 down... PA passed it a year ago... I have not had statewide success in NJ yet.. but the school I was "fighting" with has them on the budget for next year...IT ONLY TOOK the death of a student from a visiting school who died after a wrestling match from undiagnosed Marfans to let them see that YES it can happen hear!

Soon... we will HAVE THEM ALL...BUT YOU ALL NEED TO BE VOCAL... write letters to the editors in your local papers... get active you would be amazed what a few people can do...if you try...

    Good luck!
