    Re: cardiomyopathy???

Cardiomyopathy is just disease of the heart by definition. There are several different types. If she has ventricular tachycardia she does need to be assessed for an ICD. My UPS man at work has some type of heart problem and has an ICD. His has fired twice already. He doesn't have HCM.

Thats what I thought, I asked her why she didn't have one and she just acted like she cared less to hear of it. She said she had been "clinicly dead" brfore to and only a heart transplant would fix the problem, she said she was not taking her prescribed meds either and just looked all together fustrated. I asked her if she had ever been to ccf and been seen there because how good they are.. but just not intrested.

        Hi Jen

There are 4 types of Cardiomyopathy:

        1. Dilated Cardiomyopathy

        2. Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy

        3. Restrictive Cardiomyopathy

        4. Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Cardiomyopathy

I hope your friend decides to get the help she needs.

There isn't much you can do if she isn't interested in hearing anything about it. Good luck, Jen.

            Hi Jen,

Don’t sweat somebody else’s situation. It’s their life after all.

You can lead a horse to drink, but you can’t make him water.

There are none as blind as those that will not see.

If you light a candle for them, they will just blow it out.

You did what you could – that’s all you can do.

Any old saw in a pinch,
            Burt
