Best wishes to you on your upcoming surgury, you will be in good hands at Cleveland. Your doctors are very well skilled and will give you top quality care. If you need anything before or after your procedure please feel free to contact the HCMA and we will do whatever we can to make this a positive experience. (yes, I know heart surgury...is not exactly what we all look forward to. However if you go into the procedure with the best possible attitude it will help your recovery time)

You will be in my thoughts.

Best wishes,

Lisa Salberg

When I had my myectomy, the worst thing for me was when I had to sneeze or cough because of the sternum being split and spread. It is sore for a while. So I recommend holding a big soft pillow against your chest if you feel a sneeze/cough coming on. Other than that it was a breeze and that small problem probably only lasted a few weeks anyway.

But overall I felt 100% better while still recovering in the hospital. The difference is amazing! It's a great gift.

Good luck. Keep us posted on how you're doing. Matt
