    [Carolyn Biro - good bye]

    Author: Lisa Salberg (---.dyn.optonline.net)

    Date: 06-07-02 11:49

I said earlier that I would follow up on how the HCMA said good bye to a dear friend.

On May 31, 2002, Carolyn Biro was laid to rest near her home in the United Kingdom. Although Carolyn was an American by birth, her heart lived in the United Kingdom. I made a request to her husband for a special item to be laid to rest with Carolyn, a glass heart with the following etched into it

"from the bottoms of our hearts..thank you" with the logo of the HCMA.

One of the hearts was also given to her family in recongnition of all Carolyns hard work. Carolyn was a remarkable person who will never be forgotten. I hope you all take time to celebrate her life in some special way, because without her there would be no HCMA.

Please smile and think of Carolyns wonderful work and know that she would be proud of each of you reaching out to support each other!

    Sincerely,

    Lisa Salberg
