  • Successful heart screening in Phoenix, AZ

The Anthony Bates Foundation and the HCMA did our 7th heart screening event at Mountain Pointe High School on Saturday, August 28th. Our preliminary numbers indicated 183 screened, 13 abnormal echoes, 2 abnormal ECG, and 3 possible HCM.

I must say that these events get better and better as we experience more awareness and opportunity to save the lives of young people in our communities. What a roller coaster of emotion (blood sweat & tears) that is put into such a wonderful event. Lots of highs and great feelings go into the act of helping others. I am blessed to have these great experiences and I hope that sharing them with all of you hear brightens your day too.

We will have our 8th and 9th screening events October 10th & 23rd, K-State (KS) & Peoria High School (AZ) respectively. Watch our web site, www.AnthonyBates.org, for pictures of all our events and dates for new events as they are planned.

A big thank you to everyone here and to Lisa for your continued support, encouragment and all that goes into what you do everyday! We will move mountains and it continues to be a new day!

    Hi Sharon
That's great!! Look at the people you might have saved from having Sudden Death. I think what you are doing is such a plus for the people that don't know of HCM. Here comes a big THANK YOU from a mother that lost her son.
Take care and may God bless
