  • Finally going back to NEMC

Well, I made the appointment today I will be seeing Dr. Maron on September 24th. I was already flying up for a wedding and was hoping for a quick stop in before I fly back out but as usual life isn't that easy. As many of you know I'm in nursing school and it is a tough program so I thought they wouldn't stand for me being gone for a whole week! In orientation we were told two days and we were out. NO Stress there?

Well, today I got the courage up to discuss this with my professors and let them know what I've been going through. They said no problem we will work with you to get you to suceed. If you need to spend more than one week in Boston than so be it. If you need an incomplete we'll do it you will always have a spot in the program as long as you try!

The weight that was lifted off of me was tremendous because I wasn't having a good day any how. Its bad enough having HCM but some days the Chron's disease is right up there with it and if both decide they want to have fun. I may as well just go to the hospital ahead of time because I won't make it through the night.

Thanks to all who pushed me to do this for myself!

    Mary S.

P.S. I'm trying to think of the types of questions to ask Dr. Maron any ideas would be appreciated!

    Mary

Good luck with everything and I'm so glad school is being accomodating.

Question for Marty: When is he moving to Orlando to be your personal physician????

Take care of yourself, nap, and drink lots of water.

    Hugs,

    Sarah

      Mary,

So glad to hear you are going to be seeing Dr. Maron soon! Woo hoo! I was a bit worried about school too. After missing half the spring semester when i was in congestive heart failure, then having heart surgery... i was terrified to face my professors again. Thankfully, they've been hugely accomodating. Perhaps like any other business... they just want my money. LoL.

      Take care,

      Jim

Mary it sounds like you are finally getting the boat going in the right directoin now head north my dear girl and keep going til you reach the hook in Mass . Dock the boat and and get on the MBTA ,the orange line goes right in front of TUFTS. Yeah you already knew that.

Don 't you dare entice the young Dr. Maron to go South. OK it would be alright to borrow him but no keepin. I could never tolerate moving to the south that fer. I am truly a northern yank.

As far as questions I'd ask him everyone you think of . I always do , the poor guy can't even finish a sentence I finish some of them . He just laughs. Did I tell you my last 2 kids tested negative. That's 3 big 0's. We went last friday. We were joking about my VW Beetle that we drove up in . He wondered why my son didn't drive in .My son says because my mom covets her little 5 speed diesal turbo and selfishly likes to do the driving. Dr. Maron said if it were a convertable we could have gone cruisin around. LOL. Now that would have been a site. He is such a good doctor and so invested , I am glad you are coming up to see him. I hope he can get you stayin in the positive direction and you get some good answers.
