  • High blood pressure only while sleeping.

I noticed that my blood pressure was a little high first thing in the morning so then I decided to take my blood pressure everytime that I awoke during the night. At 1:00 am it was 136/63, at 3:00 it was 169/58, at5:00 am it was 162/67. After I got up and worked around the house a bit and right before I ate breakfast at 6:00am my blood pressure had returned to its more normal reading and was 121/68. Has anyone experienced this? I'm wondering if it is because I have HCM with an obstruction or if it is caused by something else. I found on the computer that it can be caused by sleep apnea. I called Dr. Lever, but I haven't heard from him yet.

I don't have any idea, but have you tried sleeping slightly elevated? I wonder if this would help.
