what does one do that doesn't have medical ins. with hcm? It seems around here that it is impossiable to find a job that offers ins. and the state doesn't want to help anyone anymore, I am afraid someday I won't have anything to fall back on, and someday I need to move with my husband to his country and although we can save money, I doubt it will be enough to survive and I am afraid that some doc's would rather do nothing to help if they aren't stuffing money in their pockets, no pun intended to all those good doc's out there, those whom apply know who they are. Sorry for my pitty party I just want to live without fear of unhappiness or fear of death or not having a doctor.

Re: what do you think
Every country handles health care differently. I don't know how Mexico is set up, but you can certainly look into it before you make any decisions about your ability to live there.
As for the US, each state is different too. You can do a search for "risk pool" insurance and see if your state offers it. In Illinois, if you have been declined by 3 insurance companies, you get to pay the state several hundred dollars a month for health insurance. My mom pays about $500 a month and it is an 80/20 plan, I believe.
You can also go on your husband's insurance as long as he has a policy through work. And then there are also professional associations that offer insurance to their memebers. The American Bar Association or the Writer's Guild, for example --if you are a lawyer or writer, but there are many others.
