  • such a miraculous group!!!

dear friends, Recently diagnosed with HCM and facing great challenges with the frightening exacerbation of symptoms during and post dialysis....i am HAPPY and BLESSED to report that through lisa's efforts and many prayers and supporters...i will be going to Tufts very shortly to see an HCM specialist!!! I was in the hospital with severe HCM symptoms and the docs just kept turning up the dialysis machine, and saying take this pill....i don't know if i will remain on meds or have surgery.....but i feel SOOOOO relieved in in such great hands. The docs and staff at Tufts have been so kind and incredible in their support and helping me to get there....I have had a variety of health issues over the years...but have NEVER experienced this kind of support and immediate care and attention. I am certain that during the re-evaluation at Tufts they will determine what is best for me. Meanwhile i am able to relax about dialysis...just do as much as i can. Thank you to all....and i will keep you posted about the course of action.

Good luck at TUFTS, I am glad to see you will be seeing a specialist. Take care of yourself, and let us know how you are doing.

It's not what you gather, but what you scatter that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Dx in Feb/99. Obstructed. No ICD, no surgeries, no family history. 2 sons ages 14 and 6.

aren't they so nice at Tufts? I just think the staff and doctors there are so compassionate. Some doctors I've met in my life don't really "listen" to their patient , but these are an exception. I am so glad my previous cardiologist referred me there! Best of luck to you...
