Well it looks like i will be on oxygen for a bit longer, I had a pulsox machine hooked to me for 24 hours and it said i still have problems at night when sleeping and when i'm up moving around, so now the pulminary doc wants me to go thru a sleep study to see if i have sleep apnea, so we will see, i go to my PCP doc next week and would have to referr me because my insurance doesn't seem to have my pulminary doc listed, so my PCP doc has to order the study. I will let you guys know more as i know it

      Re: oxygen

      Hi Shirley,
I don’t know, but to me it seems that just about everybody is being sent for sleep studies, and being told they have sleep apnea. I was sent for a study about a year ago and was shocked to hear that I didn’t have it. Instead they recommended I have a nose job to open the passages at the bridge further. I was also told this as a child, but I figured I had lived for seventy odd years with it and survived so what the h-ll. Also, if you’ll pardon the expression, I’ve grown attached to it.

I’m both sorry and glad to hear you’re on O2. Sorry to hear you need it, and glad to hear you’re getting the help you need. Personally I think once you solve the water problem the oxygen problem will go away on its own.

Some of my friends on oxygen have had problems with dry noses, but there is a moisturizing attachment available that readily solves the problem. If you find you start to dry out don’t suffer with it but ask your supplier about the moisturizer.

Keep smiling. - - It makes them wonder what the h-ll you’re up to.
