Re: change in blood pressure
thanks, you really did help. 2 yrs ago I ended up in the hospital with really low BP. I can't remember how low it was but I was pretty out of it. They did a medication adjustment and I was fine. I just worry about it getting that low again, especially with me walking and trying to lose weight.
Thanks
Pam

Re: change in blood pressure
Yes, the influx of blood pressure can occur just from walking to the car. Even the time of day relates to how high bp is. It is typically higher in the mornings. There is also something called White Coat hypertension. Most people when they go to the Dr. office are nervous and that increases blood pressure. Blood pressure can differ up to thirty points in some instances that is why they recommend you take it at the same time.
As far as the low bp goes. I function quite well at my 90/60 range. But if it drops I know. Last time I ended up in the hsopital my bp was 60/40 I was almost out of it.
Hope this helps!

change in blood pressure
Hi all,
When I go to the clinic, I sit down and they take my BP immediately. It is always 'normal'. However whenever I take it at home it is always low 100/65ish, sometimes even lower.
This is kind of a 2 part question. Is that a safe BP? AND my BP rises quickly in response to moving about, walking and especially going up stairs, is this an appropriate response-rising from 100/65 up to 120/80 just from going from the car into the clinic.
I want to have a good list of questions for my cardio. app.
Thanks for baring with me...
