  • Educational meeting in CALIFORNIA!!

    Calling all Northern Californians! The HCMA in conjunction with our good friends at SADS will be co-sponsoring an educational meeting including a panel discussion on May 18, 2004 6PM – exact location to be announced – in downtown San Francisco.

    We will serve a light buffet and have several prominent physicians on hand to answer your questions. We are please to announce that Dr. Paul Wang from our newest HCM Center at Stanford will be on the panel.

    Please mark your calendars and send us an email at [email protected] and let us know that you will be attending, please note the number of people you will be bringing. This session is suitable for 16 and over. We look forward to seeing you in San Francisco!

    Dx age 12 current age 46 and counting!
    lost: 5 family members to HCM (SCD, Stroke, CHF)
    Others diagnosed living with HCM (or gene +) include - daughter, niece, nephew, cousin, sister and many many friends!
    Therapy - ICD (implanted 97, 01, 04 and 11, medication
    Currently not obstructed
    Complications - unnecessary pacemaker and stroke (unrelated to each other)
