  • Finding an HCM Specialist

I would appreciate some input in locating a Specialist for my Son, in Madison, Wisconsin. I had my Myectomy 7 months ago, My Mother Died suddenly (my Cardiologist says "HCM" was the cause), My Brother also has been diagnosed. My Son (32 yrs old) is finally ready to see a Specialist - I would also like my Granddaughter (9 yrs old) to be evaluated. I dn't live in Wisconsin & have no leads for him. Any input/referrals would be appreciated.

    Ronnie,

I'm sorry for your family's experience with HCM. Call Lisa and she will help.

      Hi

The HCMA doesn't "do" referrals over the board. Lisa will talk to you first or you can email her and set up a phone appointment --say that you need a referral. She wants to make sure that she matches you up with someone that best fits your needs.

You can also take a look at the links pages for the major centers for general info.

        Hi Ronnie,

My kids see a Pediatric Cardiologist from Madison, WI. He is not a "HCM Specialist" but has been following my two HCM children since birth (12 1/2 years ago). I would first talk with Lisa, then if you want the Pediatric Doctors name that we see from Madison, let me know.

Hope you get this all sorted out soon.
