Re: Membership
Actually, some doctors in Florida do! (big surprise there!) It is called a membership fee because they offer what they call special things for their patients. I know on doctor offered same day appointments, no more than a one hour wait, and a parking space! But if you ask me any good doctor will do this and more!

Re: Membership
nothing that happens in florida "health care" would surprise me anymore.
so what you are telling me is that if i pay an extra fee, i get seen on time, am allowed to park my car, and get to be seen that day if i actually need immediate medical care? um, is it just me or is that just the way it is supposed to be all the time anyway?
good lord.

Re: Membership
Mary hit the nail on the head. This Drs packet says almost what Mary said, and all for a low annual cost of $1500. Personally I dont agree with this "membership" fee, you pay for the membership fee, PLUS you pay co-pays, and your insurance gets billed for medical expenses.

once again, Sarah, you took the words right out of my mouth..and...I'd better zipper it before I get started on health care my father received when he retired to Florida\"It is not length of life, but depth of life.\"
