    Hypertrophic CardioMyopathy Association of Canada (http://www.hcmac-heart.ca/)

    as they may have more options available to you up north.

    chest pains??

    i wanted to thank u all for taking the time to answer my posts, they have really brought a lot of peace to my mind... i have an appointment at the Tufts HCM clinic on the 16th, which i am very much looking forward to.

    however, i'm afraid in the meantime. here in halifax, we don't seem to have very many HCM-aware doctors (toronto being the best place in Canada for it.) i guess i wouldn't be so afraid if i wasn't having this sorta constant chest pain that feels a bit like a torn or stressed muscle crossed with heartburn. can anybody tell me what this might be? or what it might mean? will it go away? i don't mind the pain/discomfort if it doesn't mean anything life-threatening. the unknowing is just really hard.
