    these are the events that bring you together or pull you apart. when you have survived this, you know you will survive anything life throws at you and at your marriage.

    going through this brings out the real person and even though felix may have said things he regrets, it is clear that you both love each other very much and are committed to your life together.

    my ex-husband spent most of my time in the hospital lecturing me for not being nice enough to the nurses, and making sure they knew what a wonderful, caring husband he was. then he would argue with me in front of the doctor about my treatment options. and complain about how he didn't get any support about how terrible it was for him that i was in the hospital. he didn't understand why i shouldn't work full time and raise children (we didn't have any) at the same time with HCM. after a stroke.

    so, if in the midst of his surgery recovery, your husband can take the time to write a public love letter to you --wow. you guys will make it.
