Re: Shirley Mahoney update.
Thanks for the update on Shirley I, like everyone I can see by the postings have been waiting and trying to be patient, sending positive thoughts to you all. It is such great news to hear. Tell her how happy we all are and hope she will soon be back on the board. The circulation improvement is wonderfull ,I remember what that first improvement felt like . I am sure there will be many more positives to report. A big Woo Hoo to Shirley. Pam

Re: Shirley Mahoney update.
It's wonderful that Shirley is doing well. Thank the Lord! I hope she continues her speedy recovery and is up doing things she couldn't do before and having a much improved quality of life.
I'll be having a by-pass and myectomy soon and am looking forward to feeling better with less or no chest and arm pain and move vigor.
God Bless you,
Ralph

Shirley Mahoney update.
Hi there, everyone. (please excuse the spelling errors)
This is Ken, Shirley's husband and have good news. The Septal Myopothy went very well. Dr. Zocco said there were no suprises and the myatriel valve did NOT need any work. It fell right back into place and is working fine. He removed a piece about the size of your thumb (1.5cm X 2 cm) from her septem without complications. Her surgery lasted less than 4 hours and she tolerated the procedure well. Yesterday, (Monday), she was off the ventilator about 4 p.m. and was resting pretty well concidering. Her color and bloodflow to her toes was much better than before surgery. Today she is in good spirits and talking, sitting up and eating soft food. She should be moved to the stepdown unit today and have her chest tube and central line removed as well. Hopefully she will be able to go online from there. Thank you all for all the support you have given her through all of this.
She is doing great and may be home as early as Friday or Sat.
thanks again, KenTags: None
