    Chat Room!

    I don't know if this is possibe or not? The boards are absolutly wonderful. They have kept me going quite a few times! I was just wondering if we could get a way to have a chat room or a way to IM each other when we are online? I know there would have to be lots of safety things. I don't know if there is a way we could set it up just for members to talk to each other or not.

    I just know there are times I would love to have someone to chat with back and forth ! Just a thought!

    Mary i think that would be a great idea, if they could swing it and yes it would take alot of security I think the same thing it would be nice to chat back and fourth to each other, hope you are feeling ok

        You know you can go somewhere like Yahoo and start up a chat room on your own, i think that would also help get the word out to people you know Just a thought

          There are pros and cons to chat rooms and honestly I do not feel the HCMA can monitor such an environment in a manner that is in the best interest of the entire HCM population.

          I would suggest you look at your profile page on this message board. You can add your IM service to your Profile and that way people can IM you directly.

          As technology changes so may our view of this option. My concern is safety first... and a chat room leaves little room for clearificaiton of misunderstandings - which can lead to someone making a poor choice for thier health.

          Therapy - ICD (implanted 97, 01, 04 and 11, medication
          Currently not obstructed
          Complications - unnecessary pacemaker and stroke (unrelated to each other)
