    Hi HCM Gang,

Whatever happened to the No. Cal Office. Did you ever find any HCM specialist here?
    Testimony.
Last week I went on a field trip with my 2 sons and we stayed over night on a aircraft carrier the USS Hornet. Their were 5 flights of stairs and ladders we climbed for 24 hours. I would not of been able to climb these stairs 4 years ago, since I received my dual mode pacer my obstruction has decreased and I now live in a 2 story house.
    Thanks
    Chris

Quite some time ago there was some disscusion of a "West Coast Clinic" and as I recall the Dr. was in the process of moving? I am also hopeful of hearing if there has been any progress, we folks on the west coast REALLY need something a little closer. Please advise .. Thankyou Rick

There is a doc who has started to form an HCM center - He moved from Boston to Stanford Ca over the summer -
I have a call into him now to check status.
Hey Chris - thanks for the guilt trip
FYI - I will be in San Fransisco in May for NASPE - volunteers would be nice to help at the booth!

I will keep you all posted!

Lisa thankyou for the reply, I am looking forward to hearing more about this "HCM CENTER" and their specialists. Do you have any names with their backgrounds? Will myectomys and ablations be available there? Which hospital? I certainly don't expect an answer to all this questions right away but as soon as you find out please enlighten us! Tell us more about your needs at NASPE, I.E. (how long, when, and what does a volunteer expect to be doing?) I am not sure if I can help out then but would like to know more, just in case.. Thanks again from a information hungry west coaster!

Lisa I feel like I am becoming a thorn in your side by bugging you about this and for that I am sorry! This Doctor that moved from Boston to Stanford this last summer, has his practice going by now? I really am in need of this info and would like to start a repore with him to my coming treatment. I understand that bless your heart you are very busy for all of us but if you could see your way clear to give me his name and location I would be in your debt. Thank you Richard Nelsen

Richard, American College of Cardiology Conference will be in New Orleans this next week. Lisa and I will be there. I don't know that we will come back with any more definite info about the California services, but hang in there. Things seem to move so slowly when you are on the receiving end, while the planning and implimenting end always seems to move too fast to keep up with. Sorry I don't have a better answer just yet.
