    Dear Kasey,

Now, more than ever, it is imperative that you are seeing an HCM specialist.

Many people with HCM have successful pregnancies, but you will need to be monitored closely.

It is natural to be scared, but it can be ok.

For what it's worth.....CONGRATULATIONS. Listen to your gyno and cardio and you should be fine. Find a cardio who has knowledge of HCM.

    Good luck.

Dear Kasey, Our daughter has IHSS and had a successful pregnancy. It is truly imperative you secure a good OB/GYN and a cardiologist that can work together. There were a couple of uneasy moments. But, she has a beautiful 4 yr old daughter and is a great Mom. If ever you would like to communicate with her, e-mail me and I'll pass it along. Gramma Jackson

I was also pregnant not too long ago. I actually felt much better but since the then I have noticed new symptoms. (Details are in my posting "tightness in chest after pregnancy")

I wish you the best of luck and I also beleive it is very important to secure a good OB/GYN and Cardiologist that can work well together.

I would also say, it is a very good idea that you get to a OB/GYN ASAP!

    All the best,
