Symptoms: Optical sensitivity

I have a symptom that has mystified my cardiologist and I wonder if any of the readers have had a similar experience. When I start to have my usual symptoms and I'm outdoors, my eyes become very sensitive to glare and I have difficulty seeing. Any thoughts? FYI: I recently was traveling through the high country of Wyoming and Colorado where the elevation varied from 6000 to 9000 feet. My brother, who has had multyple bipasses, and my wife who has a mild case of emphe syma (?), had difficulty with the conditions (low energy, difficulty breathing), but I didn't-????

what medication are you on? please look up all of the medications you take and look for visual disturbances as a side effect and then talk to your doctor if you find anything.(www.intellihealth.com)

I would also get your eyes checked by an opthamologist (not the optomitrist), to rule out any eye problems.

if both of those turn up empty, then all i can say is you need to carry sunglasses wherever you go.

me, personally, i find headlights and sunlight disturbing all the time and am never without shades.

What meds are you on?
Yes it is common to get SOB at high elevations (with or without HCM).

Have you seen a specialist for your HCM?
