  • High heart rate in a 95 year old

My 95 year old mother is still active, (walking a mile 5 days a week). Her heart rate around the house is usually 100 or less. Occasionally when she walks, it gets into the 120's. Often times she has to stop walking to feel better as she says she just can't take another step. Is a higher heart rate like that, dangerous for a 95 year old with HCM?
    Thank you, Steve
