  • Calcium Deposits

I was just wondering if anyone has ever had calcium deposits in/on their valves? I guess my mom has this and is possibly due to have open heart surgery tomorrow. What is weird to me is the Dr said why the surgeons are removing the calcium deposits they are also going to remove some obstruction. It was never stated to here at anytime that she was obstructed. I was also wondering if anyone on here that has had a myectomywas diabetic or know of some one who was? And how did you/they recover?

    Thank You
    Bryan

    Re: Calcium Deposits

Oh, Bryan! I'm sorry that both of you have gone through so much lately! I can't remember which doctors she sees, but please make sure that they are qualified to be taking care of obstructions. I'll be thinking about her. I hope that all goes well. Sorry I can't answer any questions.

      Reenie,
What questions would I ask them to find out? She goes to Brigham and Womens in Boston.

      Thank you
      Bryan

I am on the phone with Brian, his mom is doing well. She had a bi-pass and is doing well at the moment. So best wishes go out to his mom!
