  • home from seeing HCM doc

Hi, I have been off the computor for a few weeks. I was in Chicogo for my sisters wedding. Then I went to see Doc. Asher in the Cleveland clinic. I liked him a lot. I did learn a lot form all the people at the clinic.

Doctor Asher is a very nice person ( cold hands, but nice). He did up my toprol from 50 mg to 100 mg. He also was very pc about my weight. He put in my chart well nourished and comfortable. The file that I took with me from my home town doc said moderatety obese. That made me cry when I first saw it.

I got my first stress test, stress echo and the first time for amyl nitrite. Doctor Asher was not sure why I had not had them done befor I was given an ICD, but he seemed to think that the ICD was a good thing.

Then I got to see Doctor Martin. He was the one that did my EP consult for consideration for antiarrhythmic meds. After talking about the side effects of the meds we went with reprograming my ICD.

I had a great trip and am glad that I went. I was not sure if I should go or not. I do not have a lot of trouble, But Lisa said it would be good to be seen by someone who specializes in HCM. I am glad that I listened to Lisa.

    Thanks Lisa.
