I found out from Oxford on Friday and received a denial of my appeal today of my request to visit Dr. Maron in Boston. Although I am not going to stop trying I do feel that maybe in the interim I should consider other alternatives. The denial letter from Oxford mentions the two doctors I mentioned at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. I was wondering if anyone is aware of these doctors or the type of facilities they have? I am going to do a little research of my own but I wanted to see if I could get any feed back from the board. Thank you.

Re: Dr. Evelyn Horn MD/Dr. Mathew Maure????
I know Dr. Horn, actually my father and I meet with her 2 years ago when it looked like transplant may be an option for him (thankfully things turned around). She is a very good heart failure person, but really seems to be stronger on the transplant side - not HCM.
I never heard of the other person.
