    Did nayone see "Strong Medicine" on the Lifetime channel last night?
    A patient had HCM. They did an alcohol ablation.

    boy, that's a first! You never see anything re: HCM on t.v. whether it be a topic on a talk show, health channel or any other show for that matter. I've seen heart subject matter but never covers HCM!! It's like it doesn't exist....you would think of all the doctors in the country who specialize in this, that they would want to make people aware (especially young adults who collapse on a basketball court) of this, know family history, etc. and also inform those of us who have it...

      I saw it! I also noticed that at the end they had a little blurb for the Leukemia Society...but nothing for HCM.

        NOPE, I didn't see that episode of Strong Medicine. Sorry I missed it, it was one of my favorites. Oh well, good to know, even if on a fictitious tv show that HCM is finally had some recognition. I wish there was much more awareness on HOCM/HCM. That way there could be some understanding.
